Pituch and the Pitbull

Hi. I'm Meghan. My maiden name is Pituch (pit-took) and my pitbull is always by my side.
We are the "two pitties" in our house.

When I was little, my older sister took dance lessons, which meant that I did too. But I had quit after only two years, because even at 6 years old, I knew that dressing up in a bright purple maid outfit to dance and prance around on a stage to "Pretty Little French Maids" just wasn't my thing.

Looking back, I remember the first thing I drew actually looked good - it was a picture of a wolf.  Since my mother was feeling bad that my sister had dancing as her "thing", seeing the drawing led her to sign me up for art classes. She was hoping that this was an activity I would stick with!  I attended class once a week at a woman's home in my town from 1995-2003. Needless to say, I fell in love with art!

As I prepared to go off to college, I swore I would NOT major in art - it was my hobby, not something I wanted to be graded on! While attending Penn State, however; it became clear to me that painting was the only thing I actually wanted to go to class for. And so, against my father's wishes, I graduated with an Art Degree!

Now that I live just outside of Washington, DC, I enjoy DIY-ing the fixer-up house I share with my handyman husband, and of course the dog.  (It's really the dog's house - we just live in it.)
